Photography services for hotels, restaurants and hospitality properties
Photos are the first thing a guest sees of your property, and often the only thing they decide on. We photograph hotels, restaurants, B&Bs and holiday rentals in Umbria and across Italy, with images that show your place as it really is and hold up on your website, on booking portals and in campaigns.
Your hotel’s photos decide the booking before the words do
What a hospitality photo shoot includes
We build every shoot with you. Together we pick what your website, your portal listings and the coming months of campaigns actually need.
Guest rooms and suites
We shoot every room type with balanced light, beds and fabrics properly prepared, and corrected perspectives that never misrepresent the size of the space.
Interior and common-area photography
Lobbies, breakfast rooms, spas, meeting rooms. Interior photography needs long exposures and careful handling of mixed light, with windows, spotlights and warm lamps all in the same frame.
Food and dining rooms for restaurants
Plated dishes, table settings, dining-room details and the atmosphere of service. We work with your chef on the signature dishes and shoot at the hours when the light shows the room at its best.
Exteriors, surroundings and the local area
Façade, pool, garden, view. Plus the context shots (village, hills, vineyards, trails) that sell the stay and not just the room.
360-degree virtual tour
A navigable hotel virtual tour, published on your website and, where available, on your Google business listing, moving smoothly between rooms, common areas and outdoor spaces.
Delivery, formats and usage rights
We export the files in the crops and sizes your website, portals and social channels ask for, with file names and alt text ready to use. Usage rights are written out plainly in your quote.
The five stages of a hotel shoot, from site visit to delivery
They hold even if you find the photographer yourself. A B&B shoot and a large hotel shoot follow the same path on different timescales, and what changes the result is how many of these stages actually happen before shoot day.
- 01
Briefing and objectives
First comes the decision about what the photos are for, whether that’s rebuilding the website, feeding portal listings, launching a campaign or presenting a new space. Only you can answer that, and the shot list comes from your answer, not the other way round. Anyone who turns up without that list photographs whatever is in front of them.
- 02
Site visit and lighting plan
Whoever photographs your property has to see it first, to learn how the building is oriented and which hours of the day give each space its best light. That gives you an hour-by-hour schedule, built to stay out of the way of the day’s work, breakfast and check-out included.
- 03
Preparing the spaces
Rooms made up, surfaces cleared, details attended to. This is the stage that shapes the final result most, and no photographer can do it alone, because without your housekeeping and front-of-house staff, shoot day gets spent moving objects around instead of taking pictures.
- 04
Shoot day
The photographer works through the planned order, on a tripod, controlling the artificial light. You look at the previews on site, while the kit is still set up, and that’s the only moment when a correction costs nothing. After that, redoing a space means coming back another day.
- 05
Selection, post-production and delivery
After the shoot there’s still the selection, the colour and perspective correction, and the export in the formats your website and the portals ask for. Ask for delivery organised space by space and ready to upload, because a folder of randomly named files gets opened twice and then never again.
The shoot works only if you get the property ready
The best photos come from a property that is ready. This is the list we share with clients a few days before the session.
- Block the rooms to be photographed. They need to be free and freshly made up, not just vacated at check-out.
- Linen pressed, pillows arranged, covers free of creases and marks.
- Remove signage, power strips, bins, used towels and personal items from every space.
- All bulbs working and of the same colour temperature within each room.
- Glass, mirrors and glossy surfaces cleaned, because they show up far more in photographs than in person.
- Plants alive and cared for, fresh flowers where they genuinely add something.
- The restaurant needs complete table settings, clean linen, and plates and glasses with no smears.
- Agree with the chef which dishes will be photographed and who plates them on the day.
- Gather your logo, colours and brand materials, so we can match the images to the rest of your communication.
Generalist photographer or hotel photography specialist?
An excellent wedding photographer is not automatically the right photographer for hotels. What changes is the purpose of the work, not just the kit.
| Aspect | Generalist photographer | Hotel photography specialist |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose of the shot | An image that is beautiful in itself, for the portfolio. | An image that makes people choose your property over the others on the same results page. |
| Knowledge of the spaces | Improvised on site, space by space. | Already knows what a guest looks for in a room, in a spa, in a breakfast room. |
| Delivered formats | A single high-resolution export. | Different crops and file sizes for website, Booking, Airbnb, Google and social. |
| Impact on operations | The property adapts to the set. | The shoot fits between check-out and check-in, without stopping your business. |
| What happens next | Files delivered, engagement over. | The photos go into the website, the portal listings and the campaigns, with the people who shot them still on the team. |
